My first meeting with my thesis advisor Joachim Halse couldn’t have come at a better time. Having to present to him what I had done in the last 2 weeks was a great way to recount, organise and assess things for myself.
In all of that chaos there was some order.
I always find conversation a great tool for reflection. It helps me synthesize things and find connections that can elude me for days if I am just staring at them in a solitary vaccuum.
Joachim also inserted some much needed pragmatism reminding me that there is a schedule and time is not a renewable resource. With some good advice in hand, I am off in the search of some inspiring users to do some qualitative research with. My attempts of using friends of friends have so far yielded slim pickings, so I must dive into the deep end and start emailing people off the internet. Swallow fear and commit!
